The Slovenian-Croatian shipyard Elan-Marine has added a 9.20 metre yacht to its range. The ship, designed by Englishman Rob Humphreys, is intended to set standards in its size class. Elan aims to build very solid, extremely seaworthy and fast ships.
These characteristics are already embodied in the larger models, which are manufactured to a generally recognised high quality. This is also reflected in the price: The Elan 31 costs 77,665 euros with the minimum equipment according to the YACHT definition and is therefore more expensive than comparable yachts such as the Océanis 311 (73,360 euros) from Bénéteau, the Sun Odyssee 32.2 (72,566 euros) from Jeanneau or the Hanse 311 (66,502 euros) from Yachtzentrum Greifswald.
This makes it all the more exciting to see whether the new Elan can justify its higher prices.
The boat is available with two different keels and two rig variants. With more sail area and the 1.85 metre deep keel, it should make a good cruiser/racer. The GPH racing value is 680.2 sec/sm. Below deck there are
